Can't We Just Learn Telepathy Already?

I hate people. I really do. I especially hate how they expect me to be able to come up with conversations on demand. If you have something to talk about, sure, I'll make up words and stuff. I'm good with words and stuff. But if you walk up to me, say "hello" and then wait expectantly, what you will get will basically amount to lolnope.

It's not that thinking of conversations is hard. Well, it is. Well, not really. It's pretty easy, I just don't think you're worth it.

Don't take that the wrong way! Conversation in general just isn't particularly fun for me, and when I have to get my brain to jump through hoops for it on top of everything else in my life, well. It's just stupid.

So to combat stupidity, here's a greeting card for all the other antisocialites out there. (I know I'm not the only one....)

  1. I read a very interesting article once about what society might be like if everyone could read emotions and thoughts perfectly. I don't think it would solve the awkwardness problem. If anything, it would make it worse.

See, I can continue conversations by reading too far into the almost-completely-unrelated title of a blog post! :P

  2. Yay antisocial buddies!
That's why I hate large parties or school banquets/dances/social interactions (ahem Gargoyle Gala) where you're EXPECTED to chit chat about the most mundane things in the world and you're supposed to carry on a conversation with people . Plus both of you know when it gets awkward, but you feel as if you have to keep talking about stupid "So.. Hows the weather" to be polite and nonawkward but it just makes it worse. Like.. what is that nonsense. I'd rather just sit on the couch with my laptop or huddle in the corner like a cat, or just read a book. Who needs social interaction anyway....

  3. You may have seen this poster on my locker.

Also relevant. I had this on my locker last year.

Basically, only talk to me if you have something to say. I am not going to rack my brain just to indulge questions like "How's school been?".
